Lauren Rearick

Hi, I’m Lauren—a beauty writer with NYLON and a freelance writer and editor.

I have written for publications including Teen Vogue, MTV News, NYLON, The Fader, Huffington Post, InStyle, and many others.

Currently, I’m a beauty writer at NYLON, where I write about the latest trends, explore the continuing impact of beauty on various aspects of our culture, and provide tips and tricks that make the industry feel more approachable for readers.

In 2013, I founded and established a music blog called The Grey Estates. We shared our favorite music with the world, held two unofficial SXSW parties, and released tapes. In 2015, Style of Sound named us one of the 100 most influential indie music blogs in the world. We were also featured in The Verge.

After seven years at The Grey Estates, I branched out into other areas of the music industry. In 2020, I joined No Earbuds, working on PR campaigns for artists including Sinai Vessel, Bad Moves, Retirement Party, and more. I also wrote biographies for numerous musical artists, including The Paranoyds, Kississippi, and PONY. I later joined Run For Cover, working on A&R.
